Pre-flight paperwork checklists for vehicle registration renewal, licence conversion, ownership transfer, and tourist car rental.
1. Mulkiya Renewal Checklist
- Original Emirates ID linked with UAE Pass
- Valid 13-month motor insurance policy (Comprehensive or TPL)
- RTA technical passing certificate (cars older than 3 years)
- Cleared traffic fines and Salik balances
2. Licence Conversion Checklist
- Valid UAE Residence Visa & Emirates ID
- Original valid foreign driving licence from 57 recognized country
- Certified legal translation into Arabic/English (if required)
- RTA electronic eye test certificate from accredited optician
3. Car Ownership Transfer Checklist
- Seller: Original Emirates ID & Mulkiya card
- Seller: Bank electronic mortgage release confirmation (if financed)
- Buyer: Original Emirates ID & valid UAE Driving Licence
- Buyer: New 13-month car insurance certificate in buyer's name
- RTA technical passing certificate (valid 30 days)
4. Tourist Car Rental Checklist
- Original Passport with active UAE tourist visa or entry stamp
- Valid Home-Country Driving Licence
- International Driving Permit (IDP) — if from non-exempt country
- Physical Credit Card in driver's name for security deposit hold
